Information Therapy (Ix®) is the timely prescription and availability of evidence-based health information to meet individuals' specific needs and support sound decision making. Ix prescriptions are specifically targeted to an individual's needs at a particular moment in care and are delivered as part of the process of care.
Mission: To advance the practice and science of prescribing and using information to improve people's health.

The Center for Information Therapy (IxCenter) is an independent, 501(c)(3) tax-exempt, not-for-profit that aims to advance the practice and science of information therapy to improve health, consumer decision making and healthy behaviors. The IxCenter acts as a catalyst for health care delivery innovation by diffusing Ix strategies through research, education and collaboration. A core function of the IxCenter is engaging with Ix proponents and industry leaders through its IxAction Alliance.
